My only real issue with the room was I found a note saying that if I found it that the towels had not been changed and to put it on Yelp. Now the towels looked clean, but the Hoteliers Association states that they recommend changing the towels between each guests stay. So the person who left the note clearly touched and handled the towel I used.

I also had an issue with my check out staff member. I approached the desk and started speaking to her and when the phone rang she just picked it up and starting assisting the person on the phone for an extended amount of time. Two thing wrong there, from a Customer Service standpoint.

I was really excited to come to Lake City and spend the night at The Inn at the Crossroads. We were attending the Moore Farms Botanical Gardens Beer Fest. The property is located right in the center of Lake City on Main Street, with plenty of parking to accommodate guests. The parking is behind the property and seems very secure. The room was a good size with a desk and chair to sit in. The room appeared well cleaned and maintained. The sheets were fine and had a good smell when I walked in.

The air was a small unit that had a remote to work in, not my favorite because in this situation I like just warmer and colder controls, but still easy to manage.

The following day we had breakfast in the restaurant on property and our server (Elizabeth) made sure our experience was very positive. The meal was prepared very well except for the toast which was kinda of cold by the time it got to the table. They also need to seriously upgrade the jelly selection with a product that is not just fruit juice and corn syrup. Whoever decided that the US Foods low budget strawberry was going to work at such a good property totally missed it!

Very well decorated plenty of beautiful art work in the lobby. The staff is friendly and courteous. Rooms are clean and very comfortable.

I will be staying at the property again, because they are a good and well maintained property and I can only see them getting better. I can recommend a stay.

We were on a road trip from MA-FL and were looking for a place to stay. When my brother told me it was an inn in the middle of nowhere, I was extremely skeptical. When we got there I was blown away! Staff was nice. Rooms were extremely clean. Also, it must be brand new because it still had that new smell. If I ever drive through again, I will definitely stay here!

A. Ask me to wait a moment while she answers the phone.

UPDATE: General Manager called me regarding the towel issue I had and they wanted to assure me that they were embarrassed by the fact that I found a note from the previous guest and that they used it as a training opportunity to any correct future issues. Really appreciate that they looked at it this way, which was the spirit of why I posted. Can't wait to stay again!

B. Ask the person on the phone to wait a moment while she completes the task with me and then go back to the customer on the phone.

Seems simple, because most people would think that but having had loads of CX training, but most people don't understand the concept. Basically it's first come first served no matter where they are.

The hotel was extremely clean, the room did not have microwave or refrigerator however the rooms were updated and the beds were very comfortable. I did not dine-in the hotel but there was coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. I would definitely stay there again.

The physical appearance is great and the staff is sweet and caring but I was a little disappointed in my room had a funny smell. Not sure if it was the a/c needed tending or what. I will probably stay again but will check my room first.
