Also my daughter had a really bad fracture of her ankle that needed a bimalleolar surgical repair. 1 plate, 7pins an 3screws. Within 2weeks after surgery she is able to "toe touch walk" with her crutches. She gets her 26 staples out tomorrow an Find out when she can begin to start putting weight on her ankle with the crutches. I am amazed at how fast her progress is going. Lake City Community Hospital, nurses, surgical staff, observation care team. You all have taken GREAT care of my daughter when she really needed help. I was there every moment of it an photos of the last couple of weeks from the night she went to the ER on Oct 12 , 2017 thru today Nov 3, 2017 speaks volumes... check out my photos an see for yourself...
Your flipping a coin if your going to the emergency room. I have had GREAT fast service here, with wonderful, knowledgable, and friendly doctors, and some the polar opposite. They also charge a lot. If you go there in person to pay and ask for a discount they typically will do that for you, and if you offer to pay your bill in full they will drop 20% off most the time.
After today, myself nor any of my loved ones will return to lake city hospital. we experienced a loved one receiving another patients medication , & instead of attempting to right their wrong they tried to blame the patient for taking the medicine. & even told our family our loved one was going to be sent to hospice (another mix up). Granted, some nurses weren't bad just unfortunately they're not employees for a hospital that is ran properly.if it's my only option to go there, I believe id just suffer. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating.
Lake City Hospital is absolutely the worst hospital ! They will sit you in a room and leave you there for hours and hours
We always wait so long to be seen. Then when we aren't even seen we receive a $600+ bill. Most times we go the personnel are SO rude, and not very knowledgeable. I would recommend just going to Carolina's or McLeod.
This hospital used to have a bad reputation for not taking the time to listen to what was wrong.
I don't ever give a hospital 5stars because there is always room to improve.... like adding an after hours pharmacy in hospital to fill a prescription that the ER Dr just discharged them to go home with an the local pharmacy don't open back up again until at least 8am the next day (as a suggestion)
They have made changes in staff, security, and policy to make sure patient voices are heard and people in the community can trust they will be taken care of if they find themselves in need of a trip to the Emergency Room, or have surgery there.
